About Thermal Breakplates Ireland Ltd

Established in 1983 by Christy Finnegan (1942 – 2016) as C Finnegan Wrought Iron. This remained the company’s official name until 1999 when Finnegan Steel Fabrication Ltd was established. Over the years the company has had a few different addresses, moving 4 times to accommodate not only a requirement for more space but a growth in aspiration and ambition too.

However, despite the moves, the company has always remained in the Dublin 22 area. During our almost 40 years in business we have established a reputation for the highest standard of workmanship and quality in steel fabrication and in 2015 we were very proud to be one of the first steel fabrication companies to achieve CE certification.

The company remains, at its core, a family business with all 4 of Christy’s sons now involved. Together with our highly skilled and dedicated team we strive to continue to improve and grow

In 2015 we were delighted to establish a partnership with Farrat Isolevel UK to become the sole agents for the supply & distribution of Farrat Structural Thermal Breaks in the Irish market. With an emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency coming to the fore this is now an integral part of the business. Following Brexit and the challenges it posed it was important that our customers should be confident of minimum disruption to supply. Working closely with Farrat and overcoming some obstacles the supply and distribution of structural thermal breaks to the Irish market continues to forge ahead.
